MARRIAGE MINISTRY
Marriage Ministry at Church on the Rock exists to support, encourage, and equip marriages in all seasons of
life. We believe God's design for marriage, from the beginning of time, was to be a permanent, life-giving
relationship. Marriage reflects a greater masterpiece which is Christ and the Church. It is our hope that
every marriage at COTR would be a source of hope and light to a world desperately in need of Jesus.

Christ-centered marriages have the potential to change the culture and belief systems all around us. Generations of families and countless blessings await those who follow the Biblical model of marriage that God began at the beginning of time.

SMALL COMMUNITY GROUPS

We believe that a thriving, Christ-centered marriage does best in the community of other fellow believers. Proverbs 13:20 declares that walking life together with other wise and teachable persons will give a blessing.
Currently we have a variety of small group studies planned for the Fall of 2025. But remember this: a book or study in itself will usually not transform our marriages. However, in community, it can open up great conversation, encourage biblical application, and bring insight from other Spirit-filled followers of Christ. Marriages flourish, find hope, and are encouraged when in community. We are better together!!

Re|engage: Whether your marriage needs to be reignited or completely resurrected, Re|engage is a
safe place for you and your spouse to reconnect. God has designed marriage to be a supportive, loving, life-giving relationship that mirrors His own unconditional love for us. Re|engage will help you better understand that design and learn how to apply it to your own marriage.

Marriage On The Rock: In this 8-week, small group study, leading marriage expert Jimmy Evans discusses practical real-life challenges and offers easy solutions on how to have a healthy and thriving marriage. Whether you've been married for years or are just preparing for the journey, Marriage on the Rock is the essential resource that will transform your relationship. This is not a small group for personal counseling, but a community group for biblical discipleship, growth in your marriage, encouragement and a place where you can meet new friends.​​​

Dave & Annie Burgeson
Greetings everyone! We are Dave & Annie Burgeson. This year will mark 36 years of marriage for us and we are thrilled to oversee the Marriage Ministry here at Church on the Rock. We often get asked, “what have been your keys to a thriving marriage?” Without hesitation, we say “ Community, Grace, Mercy, lots of laughter, and most importantly, the Covenant Love of Jesus” Along with our amazing leadership team, we believe that from the dawn of time, marriage was created by God to be a life-giving, lifelong relationship that benefits society and provides the framework where families can thrive. Marriage also reflects a greater masterpiece which is Christ and the Church. It is our conviction that all Christian marriages have the potential to reflect the glory of God simply by how they express their love to each other and those around them. Oneness of heart is the center of it all.
