You play a pivotal role in advancing the Kingdom of God by praying for our missionaries. As you read through today’s scriptures, take time to pray God’s words back to Him on behalf of these servants and the nations and peoples they are striving to reach with the Gospel.
How did God work through the early Church to advance the gospel?
Paul was among the primary missionaries sent out by the Church to share the gospel with people of every tribe and tongue. As you read about Paul's call and how he asked the church to pray for him, pray those things for our world and missionaries today.
Acts 26:12-20 - As you read Paul’s commission in verses 16-20, Pray that the above missionaries and their contacts and families will do the same. Pray that God will add to the church daily and call more workers into his harvest field.
Ephesians 6:10-20 - The armor of God allows you to be alert and persevering in prayer (v18). Pray v10-20 slowly over yourself as well as over God’s workers and your heavenly family scattered abroad.
Be encouraged and persist in prayer! Though it may not make sense in our minds, God has chosen to work in our world through the prayers of His people.
Prayer points:
For the Word of God to be shared into every tribe and tongue.
For our Missionaries as they labor in the fields
